Dejigle.

I have casually mentioned my Etsy stop on here a few times in the past, but it's time I make a post dedicated to it.

In April, my sister (Lindy) and I decided to do something we have been talking about for a long while. That is when Dejigle was born. Repeat after me: Duh - Jig - Lee.  Duh Jig Lee.  DuhJigLee.  Dejigle.  There, now you can pronounce it properly.
Where did this weird name come from?  Well, I'm glad you asked.
My family is Danish.  Although I've never set foot in Denmark, I take pride in the fact that I'm a purebred Dane. Special traditions and customs have been practiced and passed down for generations.  At our church on Christmas, we sing Silent Night in Danish.  It is printed in the bulletin, in case you don't have it memorized.  We don't.  But, we also don't know how to read/speak/pronounce most words.  Long story short, the word "dejigile" was mispelled one Christmas and we mispronounced it and from that point on it became one of many family inside jokes.  So, while the word "Dejigle" really has nothing to do with what we sell in our shop, the correct word means lovely, and I find that to be quite fitting.
Today there are three shop members.  Let me introduce you.

Me (Melissa).  Well, you know me.  I make baby stuff, because I'm obsessed with babies.  There, I admitted it.

Moving on..
Lindy, my little sister.  Right now she's living in Sioux Falls, working a 9-5, and going to school online working towards a photography degree.  She just started blogging herself {here}.  Lindy's current creative endeavors for the shop are ceramic tile coasters, but she is also working on some glass tile necklaces among other things.

Then, there's Barb.  She's my step-mother-in-law (what a long title).  Recently Barb realized she has a creative itch that needs to be scratched and started making greeting cards.  She's constantly trying new things with them and is completely open to custom orders.
Through the 17th of September for each of Barb's card sets sold, she is going to donate $1 to Alternatives Pregnancy Center in Waterloo, IA.  You can read more about this on our Facebook page.
Speaking of our Facebook page, when you "like" it, you will find a code good for 20% off your purchase that is good for the rest of the month of September.  True story.  If you don't have Facebook, let me know, and I will give you the code if you'd like it.

By the way, we're going to have a little giveaway.  There will be three winners.
*One person will win their pick of any pair of baby leggings listed in the shop.
(example)

*One person will win their pick of any set of cards listed in the shop.

*One person will win this set of four Raindrop Coasters.

Alright, so feel free to go over and check out Dejigle now.  Browse around, make yourself comfortable.  Perhaps use that 20% off coupon?

I love the new shop! I'm totally digging those coasters. And for the heck of it, our last vacation was spent in the mountains of North Georgia :)
