Apples and Earaches.
Mason hasn't quite been himself lately and I couldn't put my finger on it. He hasn't slept well since he started getting those molars (which, by the way, only a little corner of one has popped though) but lately he's been waking A LOT during the night. And in the past couple days has been crying while I put him to sleep. That is not normal at all.
He was starting to get a cold, and I thought maybe he had developed an ear infection. So, we went to the doctor yesterday morning just to be sure. Sure enough, both ears. He's on the mend from that and I hope this cold doesn't stick around long (although he has been kind enough to share it with me). I really wish he pulled on his ears or gave me a big fat sign, but it really is a guessing game. This is only the second time he's ever been sick, so I guess I can't complain too much.

We went to the library yesterday afternoon and spent a solid hour there playing with toys and picking out books. There was a play kitchen with a bunch of fruit and Mason pulled out and apple and an orange. He handed me the orange and said "ball", because it really just looked like an orange ball. And he handed me the apple and said "apple." I got him saying it on video at supper when he was eating a real apple. That was his new word of the day.
Sorry about the dishwasher in the background!

And, I love it when they learn new words. So much fun!! :)
Sorry he's been sick. It's the worst. Burkley too only has one teeny corner of a molar and yet he's been teething since before his birthday. Awful.
