Miscellany Monday

1. We have a clothes line in the yard, one of those fancy retractable ones, but it it broken. We've tried temporarily fixing it with a stick, but every time while I was hanging clothes, the stick would pop out and the clothes would stretch the line down to the ground. It was so frustrating. I ended up just going to Walmart and getting a few of these drying racks. They work great, and I'll be able to use them inside in the winter.

2. My husband (who quit his job to follow his dream and take a job that pays as much as he used to make in a month as a yearly total) has been promoted. The head basketball coach left the college for a different job, making the top assistant the head coach and Tyler the top assistant coach. This is an amazing opportunity for him. And now he's making three month's worth (ha). He's already started calling recruits and loving every minute of his new work.

3. This is delicious. We have been starting to avoid almond milks with carrageenan in them (due to negative effects on the body), but I couldn't pass up this purchase, carrageenan and all. It is mighty tasty.

4. Speaking of coffee, we start them young here.

5. Tyler got me a dehydrator for Christmas and we finally used it for the first time. We dehydrated blueberries and cantaloupe. We pricked each and every one of those blues with a toothpick several times, luckily they turned out good so it was worth the hour of our lives. Next on the agenda, watermelon and pineapple.

6. My step-mother-in-law is doing a giveaway on her blog this week. She has 5 different prizes for 5 different winners, one of which is from my Etsy shop. She doesn't have a huge readership yet, so chances of winning are quite high, check it out! {Here's her blog}
