Elliot & Finnley - On Your 4th Birthday

Birthdays are a day of treats. You started the big four off with the cereals you chose in town the previous day on the way home from Grandma Barb's 55th birthday party. You blew out your watermelon candle like pros and later had some scrambled eggs because the cereal didn't taste as good as you thought it would. (Note Finn's 1st shiner or "shine eye" as you all called it. Finnley ran her face into the window seat a couple days prior)
We moved right on to opening presents. Mom and Dad gave you a pony memory game, some books, and new pony pillow cases Mom sewed. Mason picked out a pony with a helicopter and one with a house for you. Those were probably your favorites.
Going with the theme of a day of treats, I let you guys each pick and watch an episode of My Little Pony and then there was lots of playing with the new toys. We brought the memory game to the restaurant and had dinner with dad. Grandma stopped by and we made some plans for supper.
We packed up your birthday supper choice (chicken nuggets, broccoli, and tomatoes.. yes you agreed on this) and took it to the grove for a picnic with Grandma Kim and Grandpa Tim (and Maggie!). Grandma Deb called for a birthday chat, but the grove was much too distracting to hold a good phone conversation. After eating, playing in the park and seemingly getting hurt on everything, a hike was next. It was a great way to end a lovely birthday!
