"Apple spaghetti", they couldn't get enough. My counter was pretty sticky.

The birds liked the "apple spaghetti" as well. It was very amusing to watch the geese eat it.

The past few years we have gone to pick apples at friendly friends of family or neighbors, but no one offered their extra apples this year and maybe didn't even have any so no picking for us. I did order a big box through Bountiful Baskets, cheating yes, but we got to make our applesauce. It didn't end up being too much but the kids really love participating and that was mostly the point. Won't be too many years and we will have our own apples (fingers crossed)!
