Jumping the Gun

Two days shy of their half birthday, we decided it was time for these ladies to have their first taste of food. Grandma and Grandpa were in town, so why not share the milestone? Cucumbers were one of Mason's favorites when he first started exploring food. So, I figured it would be a perfect introduction to the world beyond the boob.
Elliot was sort of indifferent about the whole experience. She wasn't too happy today to begin with, so perhaps that was why. She also had a little broccoli stalk in addition to her cucumber sticks. She really wanted to pick up the sippy, but it didn't work out most of the time.
Finnley was loving the cucumber. Every time she dropped it, she would whine. Couldn't get enough, she really enjoyed sucking on it. At one point she must have swallowed a big chunk, it gave her the heebie jeebies.
For supper they tried bananas, but believe it or not, I didn't get any real pictures of that (just crappy phone pictures). Hmmm, I wonder what they will eat tomorrow?!

What were your kid(s) first foods? Did they enjoy?

My 8th childs first taste of solids was when he was 4 WEEKS old and we were at a baseball championship game and his brother was pitching and the baby was so fussy, so I gave the baby a ring pop. I felt so guilty I took it out of his mouth and the baby screamed so loud the whole ball park heard him!!! cucumbers and broccoli would have been a much better choice.
I am your newest follower..pls follow back if you can.
have fun enjoying your babies!!
